Royalties are divided proportionally among landowners based on the percentage of land each owns within the unit.  Royalty checks can be annual, semi-annual or quarterly based on the amount of property each individual owns. Signing bonuses depend on a variety of factors including the projected revenue from the well and the number of property owners involved.
